Iodus translating the very essence of swimwear
It all began one evening back in 1997. Alain Simon and Bernard Montagné, the directors of Mode & Cie were creating the Iodus brand and asked Pierre Martinez, a renowned freelance designer with an excellent reputation in the swimwear market, to come on board as art director. Over dinner, the three friends started dreaming up a new concept of modern and sophisticated swimwear, simple but refined, timeless and chic… Words flowed and ideas began to take shape in the form of sketches on a paper napkin. The Iodus positioning gradually emerged: a range of essential garments, offering an elegant translation of current fashion criteria, while steering clear of any excess. Extreme care is taken to ensure that cuts are immaculate and flatter the female form. The style is sober and understated, often graphic; fabrics are high quality, developed and manufactured in Europe, for beautiful results; colours are precise and flawless. A new idea of luxury with impeccable and affordable garments, enabling women to treat themselves to a new item each summer without feeling guilty. As one might expect, Iodus beachwear follows the same principles, with a range of simple but perfect beach cover-ups for a gorgeous silhouette.
