Founded in 2015 and run by Frédéric Bonnin, Minakani is a Paris-based graphic design agency that brings together a high-energy team of freelance designers. Having worked for a long time as a designer with Dim, Mr Bonnin is very familiar with the lingerie and intimates sector.
For the agency’s creative output, which spans several sectors, Mr Bonnin and his team use a mix of techniques. Hand skills are used for drawings, and computers for repeats and colour. All designs are delivered to the client in a digital format that’s ready to be printed. Minakani stands out with its unique approach to design which is both very graphic and full of optimism. This positive outlook is clear in the remarkable colourways used by the Parisian agency.
Etam, Darjeeling (Chantelle Group), Calvin Klein, Variance, Dim, princesse tamtam, and Monoprix have all been won over by Minakani’s creativity. The agency, also renowned for its designs for the beachwear market, has contributed to collections by Bluemint, Etam, Bronzette, and others.
Creativity and quick turnaround times are key for Minakani and a fourth of the company’s activity concerns special orders. Export represents around 40 percent of turnover.
